Havens Dumb

Ahead of this Friday's release of Havens Dumb, Augie March's first album in seven years, I thought it appropriate to revisit my top 20 tunes (no chance of narrowing it to 10) by this majestic band from the not-so-majestic town of Shepparton...

 1.  One Crowded Hour (Moo, You Bloody Choir)
 2.  The Cold Acre (Moo, You Bloody Choir)
 3.  There is No Such Place (Sunset Studies)
 4.  Owen's Lament (Sunset Studies)
 5.  Little Wonder (Strange Bird)
 6.  The Hole in Your Roof (Sunset Studies)
 7.  The Mothball (Waltz EP)
 8.  Bottle Baby (Moo, You Bloody Choir)
 9.  After the Crack Up (Havens Dumb)
10. Sunset Studies (Sunset Studies)
11. Mt Wellington Reverie (Moo, You Bloody Choir)
12. Future Seal (Thanks for the Memes EP)
13. Vernoona (Moo, You Bloody Choir)
14. Heartbeats and Sails (Sunset Studies)
15. Dogsday (Watch Me Disappear)
16. Song in the Key of Chance (Strange Bird)
17. The Good Gardener (Sunset Studies)
18. Century Son (Thanks for the Memes EP)
19. The Slant (Watch Me Disappear)
20. Here Comes the Night (Sunset Studies)

Yes, Sunset Studies easily has the most entries, with seven, followed by Moo with three. (A cluster of Strange Bird tracks - Brundisium, The Keepa, The Night is a Blackbird, O Song - just miss the cut.)

For comparison, here's my list from January 2010:

Until Friday, OUT.
